In this 21st century, education has changed a lot. Some people believe that studying online is better however others feel that face-to-face classes are more effective. This essay will discuss both views.
The biggest benefit of studying online is that children can save time. They do not need to wake up early and get dressed. They can wake up later and directly sit at their computer. Parents can also save time and money because they don’t need to drop their children to school, or arrange for a school bus. They can save petrol costs too. Another benefit of online studies is that children can get used to technology from an early age. The world is changing and everything will soon move online like ordering groceries, paying bills, watching movies, buying tickets and so on. So it’s better if children are prepared for these technological changes.
However face-to-face classes have many positive aspects too. Firstly, children can make friends and learn to be social. When they are in school, they play games, take part in extra-curricular activities and develop their communication skills. In contrast, at home they are left alone with the computer. Physical classes also ensures that children are active at all times, for example, when they take the transport to school, climb the stairs, change classrooms or go to the playground for sports. Online classes on the other hand have caused a lot of health issues, obesity and eye problems in children.
In conclusion, both types of classes have their merits and demerits but I strongly believe that children need to go to school to enjoy their childhood years. It is a crime to make children spend their best years alone at home with laptops.
