Libraries offer a wide selection of books, journals, magazines and newspapers. A portion of people are of the opinion that libraries are perfect places for consuming knowledge. However, another portion believes the contrary. In my opinion, libraries are a good source but it is not the only source to learn. With the advent of the internet, computers and mobile phones have now become as good as libraries.
On one hand, individuals argue that libraries are the best way for learning new things. A library is considered as a place for traditional learning. In the past, researchers used to write their thesis in libraries as they could find all the books at one place and because of its quiet and peaceful surroundings they could concentrate on their work. Books are considered to be the most authentic source for studying. For instance, for publishing a book, it has to undergo many tests before it gets published, that is why it is considered authentic. This is why some people prefer libraries.
On the other hand, a substantial number of people are of the opinion that libraries are not the best place for consuming knowledge. This is because of the rapid increase of technology. The Internet offers a vast range of things that give knowledge on a single click. Take this for an example, you are walking on a road and you see something that makes you curious, you take out your phone and you learn about it on the spot. This is the beauty of the internet.
In conclusion, a library is a traditional method of learning and offers a silent and peaceful reading environment but with the rise of the internet, one can learn anytime and anywhere depending upon individual choice.
