It is the opinion of the one part of the society that music can be effective to get together various age and cutural groups at one place. According to my view this may not a good way because different people do not like the same type of sounds.
On the one hand, when any body of persons organise the concerts at particular place, which may attract youngs and seniors at their. They could enjoy there together which could generate the sense of friendship. When they dance or cheer together they come up with eachother. Moreover there would be some food stalls, book shops and music exhibitions etc. where those people can get to know eachother and can wide their social circle when they exchange their views and ideas about the music options available there.
On the other hand, I firmly believe that the individuals who do not belong to the same culture and age may not prefer the similar kind of songs. This could be the bigger hinder in the way to joiin them at the one place. Additionally there may be less chances that they can understand the music in same language. For example English people may not get about the meaning of the punjabi lyrics and tunes and vice versa. However, the social groups can organise some other funcions and invite public at large to take part to create friendly relations with huge crowed. Social groups can call for the gaming competitions. trade fairs, social and marketing exhibitions etc. to facilitate this phenomenon.
In conclusion, although music competitions can be a joyful events for two or more societies and for young and old generations to be closed with eachother, in my view there would be a language barrier or taste difference which can be a hurdle.
