Advancement in technology and gadgets have empowered people to watch their favorite web series and films without the constrainment of time and space. Myriads of people still believe that, to be able to connect with a movie it should be watched in theaters with friends and family. This essay will highlight both of the point of views and give my opinion in favor of the latter.
These days in this fast paced where people are engrossed in their works and daily routine, managing special time for entertainment is an uphill task for individuals. Having online streaming platforms such as Netflix, Youtube has allowed users to keep up with the recent documentaries, movies and appreciate the art of their favorite artist, musicians and actors. It not only keeps people entertained at various occasions but it also gives freedom of time, allowing people to watch a long movie at regular intervals at their ease. For example, one of my favorite movie series is harry potter, to watch it at once seems impractical with ongoing commitments. Smartphones or tablets help us pause and resume at our own will and watch is it feels feasible.
On the other hand, cinemas are not only a place of recreation but the ebullient nature it provides is unmatched to that of watching movies alone. The excitement of going to a movie and watching favorite actor or artist creates a sense of joy and integrates an emotional response with our dear ones. Secondly, the big screen, high base sound systems are of no match to that of what smartphones provide. The shared experience with helps us to talk and give opinion regarding movies and unlocks different opinions.
In my point of view, cinemas do provide an experience that people should often go and relish it with their family and friends rather than sitting in a quiet room and watching it alone. Although, both aspects have their own advantages but I would always prefer cinemas over any streaming platform.
