Undoubtedly public health is considered as an important criteria for improving a country’s health, and the role which sports facilities play in this aspect is significantly important. Although some people think these facilities do not have remarkable effect, in my personal opinion, the benefits greatly outweigh the disadvantages.
On the one hand, no one can deny the fact that prevention is better than cure and one of the best ways to keep us in good health is doing exercise. Very few of us, however, can overcome the daily excuses which lead us to skip physical activity. It seems unlikely that the priority for, say, most of us is doing exercise every day, or at least 3 days a week. One of the best solutions, therefore, is increasing the number of these sports centers to curb these types of excuses.
On the other hand, it is widely accepted that most of the athletic clubs are focusing on other features rather than health. For example, most of the people who go to these centers do not follow healthy physical activities and just want to have a fit body overnight. In other words, instead of doing exercise regularly, they tend to use products which have immediate results on their appearance which have devastating effects in the long term. As a result, these opponents prefer other solutions like changing the location of the factories which pollute the environment and trigger health diseases.
In conclusion, despite people having different views, I think having the opportunities to go to the gyms can gradually change our mindset towards a healthy life, even though some people go there for other purposes, and this solution is much more affordable than fundamental changes.
