The debate between encouraging children to be competitive or cooperative brings a paramount influence that can be taken positively or negatively. Children should be taught to have people by their side, in contrast, a competitive lifestyle distance one from another.
Encouraging competition between toddlers at such a young age could be beneficial to an extend; so that the child knows that it is necessary to try their best to succeed in life. However, such demand could cause a disorder in which the child thinks they are a failure if they do not succeed in everything they are competing for. Moreso, adapting to this lifestyle limits social interactions, causing more stress, loneliness, develops more anxiety and depression for the sensation of feeling inferior.
On the other hand, becoming cooperative brings ease to life. Teaching children to be comprehensive to each other, develops connections, resilience and a stable mental health. I believe that children have to be approached smoothly and be taught the fundamentals of having a structured group. Engaging positively at a young age brings undoubtedly significant advantage in relationship skills, furthermore, helping in the communication and expressing themselves.
To conclude, competition should not be a form of encouragement, in contrast, it is of paramount importance in children early life hood to not have a tremendous load of pressure to help ease the process of mentally developed mindset.
