In the present time, it is true that we need to learn foreign languages. On the one hand, many people argue that we need to learn foreign languages to travel or work in a foreign country, whereas, on the other hand, some believe that those are not the sole reasons to learn foreign languages. For instance, to study in an English-speaking country like the USA, UK, Australia, etc., people need to have English proficiency tests, which later help them to understand the topic more fluently in a foreign country. Additionally, some people learn a second language as part of their hobby, too.
However, people still argue that travel or work are the sole reasons to learn a foreign language. We mostly travel to another country for vacation or work, so we need to learn foreign languages in order to make our lives easier in a foreign country.
