Many individuals have raised concerns about the high amount of detrimental content on the cyberspace. Some believe that the government has to regulate the content found on websites in order to make the internet secure. I believe the government should have a high level of control on information that can be accessed on the internet because this will ensure the internet is guarded from damaging topics.

Nowadays, the internet has become an alarming environment with various forms of abuse, bullying and misinformation taking place. It has become difficult to differentiate between real and fake data. Many individuals now use the internet as an avenue to pass misleading information to the unsuspecting users. For example, the use of rage-baits to induce arguments among people has become common now. These arguments often result in physical, as well as emotional attacks which has a harmful effect on human life. The government can help to put a stop to this by putting appropriate sanctions in place for people who indulge in this act of misinformation. This intervention will help to regulate the amount of fake materials on the iternet.

Additionally, the authorities can liase with popular social media executives to prevent inappropritae sexual content from being put up on family-friendly cyber spaces. These sexual content has become increasingly popular on social media. Many users complain about not being able to look up websites without coming accross sexual videos. The people in authority has to combat the rising rate of sexualization online. This can be achieved by limiting these posts to certain websites which are not tagged family friendly.

In conclusion, I strongly believe the government has to greatly regulate the content available online in order to make the internet a safe space for all.
