Nowadays, more and more individuals believe violence on TV can lead violence in community. I agree with this idea. In my view, violent video games and films may incite people to commit criminal offense. Additionally, some students have shown that there is a positive correlation between watching violent films and physical aggression against another person. This essay will show, why violence in media influences violence in society.
First of all, in my opinion, violence in the media, films, or even in the games, encourages people to turn to crime, especially teenagers. In modern era, all teenagers play video games, which can influence their behavior badly. While teenagers play games about violence, they become more aggressive and cold. As children see such things every day, then they wants to try this criminal acts in real life, such as pickpoketing or even stabbing.
Secondly, watching violent movies can also lead to violence in society. I think when people daily watch action movies and horror or even movie about violence, their personality can change, not entirely, but a little bit. In some movies, mass murderers are protagonists, and these villains shown like they are somehow good, kind people, even they killed people. If other people watch this type of the movies, they think killers are cool and kind, as a result they want to be like them, like killers. Due to this, violence spread all around the world.
In conclusion, people believe violent in the media encourages violence in society. I’m totally agree with this idea, and I think video games and various types of the movies, such as aggressive games and violent movies, inspire people to do violence.
