Certain people are of the opinion that driving examinations must be taken often by drivers rather than only one in their life in order to decrease the accidents on the road. This essay will discuss the merits of taking multiple tests such as ensuring safety of both driver and people on the road, and also the demerit which is repeated spending of money.
First and foremost, the main plus point of taking repeated evaluations is that it will ensure that the driver is fit for their job, which will further contribute in decreasing the number of accidents on the road. Driving tests evaluates whether the person has any difficulty in understanding and will also assess their quick thinking skills which is mandatory for when one is on the road, besides checking their driving capability. To cite an example, a newspaper report showed that the number accidents has reduced significantly by 50% in the span of 3 years because of repeated tests in order for the continuation of their license.
Despite these advantages, there are certain disadvantages, one of which is the need to register for the test which requires money. With the suggestion of continuous assessment of one’s driving skills, it brings with it the nuisance of spending money which not many may be able to afford. Certain drivers come from a low income family and their only source of remuneration is the one they get from doing driving. When such people are forced to take tests it will be a difficulty, due to the sum which they have to pay. For example, a
