When it comes to the development of agriculture, there are differing opinions on the matter. A group of individuals have argued that the development of agriculture, such as factory farming and the scientific creation of fruits and vegetables, is mandatory, while others oppose this statement. It is important to explore both sides of the arguments to gain a comprehensive understanding. In this essay, both sides of the topic will be discussed, followed by my opinion.
Supporters of agricultural improvement argue that it is necessary to grow fruits and vegetables by factory farming and scientific creation. This is because the population is increasing at a global scale, so it will be necessary to provide food for all humans. For example, in Africa, there is a dramatic rise in population, whereas the environment for cultivation is not suitable for vegetables and fruits. So, in such areas, there is an extreme need for development in agriculture using greenhouses or genetic creations of vegetables and fruits.
On the other hand, opponents of agricultural development contend that there is no need for factory farming and genetic creation of fruits and vegetables. They argue that this scientific creation of food will lead to harmful reactions on human bodies and can spread many diseases. Also, it can decrease nutrition among upcoming generations. For instance, although bananas take four weeks to ripen, if we make genetic changes in the banana tree, then it will ripen in two weeks or less than that. However, after that, they do not gain vitamins and nutrients.
After considering both parts of the argument, I am inclined to support the idea that agricultural improvement is important. I find the arguments in favor of agricultural development more compelling because it is more important to provide food to the rising population. While there are valid points made by the opposing side, I believe that development in agriculture offers benefits that outweigh the drawbacks.
In conclusion, while improvement in farming has benefits, such asproviding food in bulk, the opposing side has drawbacks. In my opinion, agricultural development is more important than healthy food.
