While it is believed that child labour can be appropriate in specific circumstances by some people, there is also the statement that it should be forbidden. I consider that this type of labour exploitation must be forbidden due to its problematic aspects against children. However, both points of view will be considered in the essay.
On the one hand, child labour is used in order to receive benefit in favor of companies as children are not paid for their work which can contribute to their weak physical and mental health. Also, it has been noticed that jobs that are completed by children mostly require physical effort. For instance, jobs such as wipers, general laborers, and builders’ assistants have frequently been done by children or people who are below the age of majority and they either have not been paid for their job or their salaries were not aligned with the promised ones.
On the other hand, low-income families have always needed enough money for the necessities and child labour can have a helpful impact on it. In addition, in developing countries, where high income is required for many families, it is particularly widespread. For example, in countries such as India and Bangladesh children are involved in physical jobs to financially provide their families with help. If there were not any physical jobs for children, many families would have not ensured basic needs for themselves.
To sum up, there is an ongoing debate whether child labor should be accepted or not. From my perspective, child labour cannot be accepted in any aspects as it is against the rules and children’s health.
