The effect of Globalization has impacted a lot of countries all over the world. Over-population being one of the most important aspect. It is necessary to build new homes and expand cities in order to accommodate everyone. However, it is equally necessary for municipal authorities to build more parks and plant more trees. In my opinion a combination of both is needed for a balanced environment.
On one hand, a lot of cities are getting over-crowded due to Industrialization. People are leaving their town and moving to cities in search of jobs, education, better lifestyle, and so on. Cities are broadening rapidly to make place for all. For instance, Bangalore also known as Silicon City of India has doubled its land dimension over a decade and converted all agricultural land into residential area. Though, citizens believe this was a good initiative taken by the government, I feel they could have used barren lands instead of agricultural land.
On the other hand, due to raise in population there is increase in the number of automobiles used which is causing pollution and in turn leading to global warming. Hence, it is necessary to plant more trees and promote afforestation in order to balance the ecosystem. For example, in India there was Chipko moment which gained massive attention all over the world, were ladies from rural part of India were hugging the trees to protect them from being cut. This brought a drastic change in the society and is still being followed.
To conclude, it is very important to have balance in everything. We need to address the current situation by constructing more homes to accommodate all and at the same without disturbing the nature and its phenomenon, thus, building a healthy environment for all.
