A growing number of individuals today express concern about whether the national government should conserve unpopular languages or not. From my perspective, I firmly believe that it has both sides, including negative and positive one, and the essay mentioned below will clarify my point of view.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why people think that the nation must save these languages. Chief of these is that it plays crucial role in the culture of country. Undoubtedly, when culture-related aspects are taken into consideration, preserving the languages helps to maintain the richness and diversity of global cultural heritage. It clearly sees that a culture is created by various elements such as languages, lifestyles, traditional identity, and so on but the languages is put in the top important position on creating culture. As a result, the national authority should put the concern on saving these languages to ensure that they will not loss their traditional identity which difference compared to the other nations. Moreover, thanks to the protection, nationalism and social harmony can be totally guaranteed, which helps to balance social order.
Even though there are compelling reasons highlighted above, I firmly believe that saving unpopular languages have also drawbacks. On top of that, wasting of time and money is the biggest problem when the national authorities implement several rules to protect these languages. the government’s financial budgets are limited, so they need to prioritize other meaningful purpose such as literacy rate, welfare, and so on. added to this is the fact that a language dying out completely is considered an inevitable trend because this is a natural part of linguistic evolution.
