Pharmaceutical substances that are created for humans are experimented on animals first. However, people argue that it’s not very humane to do that. In my opinion, though there is cruelty to this, testing on animals should be done before releasing any new medical products.
However, it is undeniable that such inhuman experiments of medical organizations should be discouraged. As animals are innocent in nature, companies should not inject new medicines to them for testing purposes. This is because these alien substances may induce detrimental reactions in organs of the specimens which will make them weak, or worse, finish them off. Hence, most of the societies are incredibly aware against the killing of animals. For example, many establishments were built around the USA to support the cause of saving innocent animals. Moreover, these companies changed and enforced regulations associated with testing products on animals and banned this practice all over the USA’s medical companies. As a result, these law-enforcing organizations against killings of animals are now appreciated by Americans.
On the other hand, some people believe that it is a necessary evil procedure to experiment on the effects of new medicines in animals. Whenever a new medicine is invented, it is fundamental to test the side effects of the compound before releasing it to the public. However, humans should not endure these adverse effects of the new substance as the first specimen. Instead, testing on animals should be done first to find out the potential lethal effects. Because a human life is considered more significant to society than an animal’s and humans can also contribute more to mankind comparatively. For instance, after inventing the COVID-19 vaccine, it was first experimented in labs on local animals of different species for further tweaking. If it had not been done, mankind would have suffered from many lethal side effects upon injecting the vaccine.
In a nutshell, it can be said, though there is a questionable aspect of injecting animals with foreign substances, it is a necessary step to develop safe medicine, cure mankind from various diseases, and overall improve medical infrastructure.
