In a rapidly growing world, young people increasingly face both emotional and physical pressure to reach high expectations of a good standard of life, which makes them much more independent and less caring towards others. Therefore, some people argue that schools should educate parenting skills to younger generation. Personally, I totally agree with this view based on some reasons which are evaluated on this matter.
Organizing parenting courses brings numerous benefits for students’ emotional development. A student nowadays may face academic pressure at schools, such as putting a lot of effort into examination to achieve high scores or even taking part in some sport activities to enrich application to top universities. These difficulties can lead to individuals who lack affection, become self-centred, and spend less time with their families. In that situation, schools should instill parenting skills in their students to create a supportive and caring environment, which helps each individual learn how to take care of their children when they make family. Moreover, it also teaches meaningful values for young people to express their affection to other people through the smallest actions in daily life. As a result, they acquire more caring skills, which deeply contribute to mental improvement rather than only catching up with personal achievements.
Furthermore, parenting education is crucial to develop financial management skill along with family organization ability. Some young parents nowadays still struggle to manage spendings for different responsibilities, which can uncontrollably cause economic damage and affect substantially the maturity of children. Even both mothers and fathers have difficulty in household chores arrangement and sometimes face physical and mental pressure from each other. Schools should therefore organize parenting training routinely to help students have a deep understanding about family responsibilites and also allow them to educate their children properly in the future. Parenting abilities are not only an essential life skill, but it also provides young people with practical lessons that may sometimes relieve them from academic pressures.
In conclusion, I totally believe that instilling parenting skills in young people is ultimately important. They can gain a wider range of valuable lessons in taking care of their family and surrounding people, which turns them into more compassionate individuals, while simultaneously enhancing life organization and financial arrangements.
