It is a debatable whether life is better for kids now than it was before. In this essay, I will discuss both sides as well as giving my own justifications. It is all down to one’s perception pertaining to this topic whether life is better for kids now or in the past.
The view toward the life of children is better now because of the technology. Technology makes our live easier in many ways. For example, we have robotic vacuum cleaner to do our chores and electric fan to cool us down. Moreover, the kids don’t have to travel afar for education, food or shopping nowadays because they can use Internet to achieve all these things.
In contrast, other people feel life was better in the past for kids due to less stressful lifestyle back then. For instance, the youngsters didn’t have to compete to get admission into a good school or getting a job in the company. For example, education level was relatively low in the olden days, hence it creates lesser competition to enter into tertiary institution or getting hired at the corporation in the past.
My opinions for both sides is it is really depend on individual’s thought whether life is better now for younger generation than it was in the past. My thought is I feel that modern life is better for children because of the technology helps younger cohort in many ways and the pros outweigh pros of life of kids in the past. For one, contemporary kids can have an AI-automated car to drive for them and even can have ChatGPT to write essay for them.
In conclusion, we cannot travel back to the past and we need to embrace the future realistically. Therefore, I opine that the kids need to feel blessed of their lives now thanks to technology.
