Professional work is one of the important aspects of life. Choices of individuals in this area affect their occupational and personal future. Some people argue that staying in one career for long time can provide stability and security in their lives, though others believe that job switching periodically leads to gaining a high salary and a new skill development. I support the former view as it seems more reasonable.
On the one hand, remaining in one field of work can have a number of advantages which one of the most significant is creating financial stability and security allowing to an individual to have long term planning such as buying a house or car. In addition, maintaining the same job can provide for the person to deeply develop their skills in a specific field and then they turn into experienced experts، so they can move up the career ladder.
On the other hand, there are some reasons about job hopping. One of the crucial reasons is earning a high salary. It is obvious that salary is one of the important factor in selecting a job. If an employee is not satisfied with their income, they may shift their career. Furthermore, some employees following variety tend to regularly change their job. They want to experience different skills in various fields and deal with new challenges.
In conclusion, pursuing a career or shifting a job depends on individuals’ goals. Maintaining a job may result in the stable and secure career, while moving other jobs may lead to acquiring a high salary and experiencing new skills. In my opinion, financial stability is the most significant factors in our lives, so I firmly agree with staying a career path.
