The question of whether some people think that parents have to read or tell stories to their children or not has long been a topic of debate. While some people diagree with this view, I still largely support this idea due to several reasons .
There are several reasons why children should read books or watch tv, movies on their own. One of the strongest of them is related to the fact that it helps young people develop technology skills. This is because children can gain digital literacy at an early age by using TVs, smartphones, computers or tablets without parental involvement. Not only can technological abilities provide educational information, but they also can enhance children’s creativity and imagination. A case in point, educational cartoons, where children can teach such as numbers, science, the alphabets and problem solving skills without parental guidance, which can be beneficial in their later life. This example clearly explains why some people think that parents do not always need to read stories to their children.
Having said that, I still believe that the above-mentioned arguments remain secondary to the large-scale impact that parents’ involvement yields. First and foremost, parents play an indispensable role in children’s lives. Admittedly, parents who shape their children in their younger age because they can explain values like honesty, kindness and responsibility through stories. In addition, emotional bonding is essential. Story time strengthens the parent-child relationship and creates a feeling of security and love. This overall makes a strong case for the importance of parents.
In conclusion, while childrens can read book or watch TVs, movies by themselves, while In my opinion, parentalsorytelling plays a important role in children’s development.
