People have different views on grouping students in different categories; some prefer categorizing based on academic excellence while others prefer mixing them in s single group. Although there are several strong reasons to differentiate students based on their academic excellence; however, in my opinion, they should be educated in a single group.
On the one hand, it is believed that every student have some skills that are different from one another. For instance, a student with better academic result may have fewer skills on physical education; hence they could learn from their peers in a grouped education system. It is true to say that, grouping some students from others might have negative impacts on the fewer skilled students, therefore making them less confident in their future lives. Moreover, making a group of superior students might influence gang culture and make them violent.
On the other hand, it can’t be denied that, grouping according to academic excellence is one the best ways to encourage pupils to do better performance. This might have the most direct impacts on their confidence level; consequently, create a good sense of competition among them. Student with good academic ability might be more motivated if they are acknowledged as the most talented and intelligent students.
To wrap up the discussion, although both factors have their own implications, I believe the most considerable aspects are to teach students together. Hence, mixed education system should be encouraged in the schools because it will be beneficial for a nation in the long run.
