On the one hand, tech advancement have played a very important role in reducing the crime in a certain way. The use of surveillance cameras, biometric and location services have made it easier for the authorities to trace the person or a thief who did a crime. Due to this, crimes like theft, assault and mugging are to be detected easily and punished and also it also improved emergency system to allow law enforcement agencies to be effective as well.
On the other hand, the advancement in technology have also introduced new types of crime in the digital world. Hacking and online fraud have increased dramatically with growth of technology due to this criminal can operate from anywhere as well as it makes it harder for to find them. In addition, social media application can also be misused for scam.
In my opinion, with the advancement in the technology, it has introduced new types of crimes whereas its overall decrease in crime is more positive the negative. Technology development should be seen as a crime prevention rather then cause of increase crime.
In conclusion, technology has both increase and decrease in crime in some certain ways. However if we use it properly it can be more effective in improving the way life and safety of the people as well.
