Many people believe that all students since childhood, should learn a different language. In this essay I will share advantages and disadvantages this idea.
On one hand, learning new language at childhood has a lot of positive effect such as learning easily compare to middle age and learning different culture thorough different language. According to a study done by Ankara University in 2024, it shows that fist 15 year in human life, children’s learning capacity 40% higher than middle age, therefore childhood ages is perfect time to learning different languages. Meanwhile, when people learn new language, additionally learn new culture. For instance, idioms. Idioms illustrates the country’s cultural hereditary. If you look Turkish idioms, you can see many “animal” word due to Turkish culture always see valuable. All in all, if children learn new languages in school, they learn many thing about other countries and develop their countries and theirselves, easily.
On the other hand, if children learn different languages in school, they cannot focus own languages or they may have learning difficulties their languages. Some people think that children are learn everything easily one times. However it is incorrect. Children have a capacity and it special own-selves. Just like adults. From personal experience, when I was 4th grade, We have 5 main lessons. After that year ,it increased, at 6. When it was 5 I did really understand all lessons and I have a lots of leisure time. However when it was 6, I felt anxious and I didn’t have too much leisure time. Hence, I did not understand other lessons and it was bad for me. Overall, that idea make too much pressure on children.
In conclusion, foreign language at an early age has many positive and negative effect. That idea thinkable because it is good for childhood developing. However it have to personal scheduling because each students different and all children cannot handle it.
