In our world, alongside humans live innumerable and spectacular biomes of other creatures, including animals. There have always been excruciating questions on how the animals affect our life for a long time ago. As with this issue, there are two sides that must be considered. One is those who consider animals primarily as a reservoir for culinary and clothing, whereas others believe that animals have strong bonds with us humans.
Admittedly, animals have always been there to feed us and fur our clothes for, perhaps, as old as the whole of humanity’s existence. We have long been ranching our cows and chickens for their meat and feeding cows, for instance, to shave their fur. This is because those needs are utmost crucial for our survival. However, in our modern era, the raw materials used for our nourishment do not necessarily come from animals as alternatives, namely plastic for clothes, are always available.
Conversely, others believe that animals are there to be our companions. First and foremost, caring for a creature will probably reduce one’s stress as well as raise their morale. It is surely both soothing and cheerful for one to be able to encounter their beloved pal waving his tail and having his head patted. This is because animals are living creatures that do have feelings, and they surely can also help with your emotional side. I once encountered a moment which a dog reunited with his owner – a military officer that had not been home for two years. It was a tearful moment but also filled with joyfulness of those who witnessed. Moreover, taking care of a creature, people (especially the juniors) should obtain useful life skills. An illustration is that when petting a dog, his owner is required to not only satisfy its appetite, but also his health and sanitation.
To summarize, animals are basically a choice between garments and bonds. While foods and clothing are undeniably fundamental factors of our lives that require resources from animals, I strongly believe that those were born to become our friend – a buddy that we would share our thoughts with through caring courses of actions.
