Today it is a common belief that charity companies should help everyone on earth who needs it, while others disagree and say that such organisations should help needy people only in their own country. Personally, I adhere to the first point since, from my perspective, such companies should not divide people by race, belief, or nation. Both sides will be discussed in this essay.
On the one hand, charitable foundations should give aid to people of their nationality, owing to the fact that spending money and resources on citizens of other republics is just irrational. As an example, try to imagine person A and B, if both of them lack money. Later, A wants to help B. B spends some money, and now we got two people without money as a result. I cannot say this statement is right, as it goes against the very idea of such organisations.
On the other hand, there are cases when helping others is necessary, as issues in one land can affect another. The recent COVID-19 pandemic that influenced the whole world is a great example of this idea. In the end, that disease was defeated by the efforts of all states together. In addition, the very idea of voluntary organisations says that everyone deserves a helping hand no matter what their nation is.
In conclusion, I firmly restate my opinion that charity programs ought not to separate people by the country they live in. Instead, they should unite nations and provide help wherever it is truly needed, as this approach reflects the real meaning of kindness and humanity.
