There are debates about whether charitable organizations should exclusively finance citizens in their own country or help needy individuals regardless of where they live. In the following lines, I will discuss both points of view and share my own views.
It is critical for financing organizations to invest in their own country since it helps to boost the economy. To demonstrate, if impoverished individuals receive financial aid for higher education, the next generation of the country will be more educated, lowering the nation’s unemployment rate and so increasing the country’s economy. Furthermore, offering assistance to those in need will help to reduce crime rates to some level since individuals will not engage in unlawful activities in order to meet their basic needs. As a result, assisting indigenous people would be an appropriate decision.
On the other hand, based on humanitarian principles, these organizations should support all persons residing in other countries. This will provide a good example for citizens, demonstrating that it is good to support impoverished people regardless of race or religion. Furthermore, offering financial and other resources to underdeveloped countries when needed will result in positive connections with such countries. For example, India and the United States are now on good terms since the United States always aids India during wartime or other difficult situations.
To summarize, while numerous organizations play an important part in making countries progressive, many nations find it difficult to donate to their needy citizens. This should not be neglected. I strongly believe that charity organizations should have a humanitarian concern and assist everyone, regardless of area.
