There is no denying the fact that some individuals believe that kids waste their time with reading kids story books. While it is a commonly held belief that kids should use their time more on beneficial hobbies, there is also an argument that opposes it. In my opinion, i consider that reading has more benefits.
To begin with, reading improves childrens imagination. In other words, it helps them with being more creative and enhances their thinking and ideas. In addition, kids learn empathy and values through the story characters which enhances their understanding of others. For example, “The Tree Man” teach children about the importance of loyalty and true friendship principles. Another point to consider, focusing more on reading stories improves their learning abilities. It is also possible to say that it makes children more engaging and open to discover and learn new things from their books. Morever, it upgrade their knowledge and vocabulary. For instance, a 2020 study done by Harvard university shows that kids who read more often tend to be 30% smarter than other kids.
In conclusion, despite people having different views, i believe that children should include reading story books more in their time.
