There has been much debate about whether spending more time on useful things is far better than just reading books. From my perspective, I wholeheartedly agree with this view, as investing time in new activities like going to the gym and developing in-demand skills helps people maintain good health and keep themselves employed, which will be discussed in the following paragraphs.
One of the primary reasons why I support this idea is that spending time on physical activities is more useful than reading storybooks. This is particularly important because hitting the gym daily keeps people disciplined and maintains their health. For example, a person spending time on his physical fitness is less prone to diseases and will have enough energy even though he works all day. As a result, investing time in the gym can keep people healthy and disciplined.
Another compelling reason for my stance is that learning useful activities helps people to get employment. This factor is crucial because learning in-demand skills such as Python and Java can bring employment to coders and new graduates. For example, Python skills are the most in-demand skill in the market for tech students; if a person masters those skills, then it can bring employment as soon as possible. Consequently, spending time on in-demand skills can be useful for getting an early job.
In conclusion, I am firmly convinced that investing time in useful activities is better than focusing on reading storybooks, as it improves people’s health and chances of getting a job. Therefore, it is clear that doing useful activities rather than reading books is the major priority.
