It is believed that paying for cleaning up pollution should be the responsibility of companies and individuals, and the government should not allocate national funds to it. Personally, I partly agree with this view since I assume that the government had better somewhat hold attributability to cleaning up pollution.
On the one hand, there are numerous reasons why individuals and companies should be responsible for waste which they release into the atmosphere. As finance is one of the most essential aspects of human’s lives, paying for cleaning up the environment should be an effective way to limit the amount of waste emitted. The fact that while companies and individuals primarily cause pollution by production process and household waste, the government takes responsibility for paying to clean it up is unacceptable. As a result, forcing residents to pay for their release plays an equitable role that can resonate their awareness and put a strict limit on polluting the atmosphere. For example, fast fashion can build up companies’ reputation and success, million tons of which are thrown away annually in the landfill. Such production waste should be paid by companies instead of the administrators’ responsibility.
On the other hand, the government plays a crucial role and cannot be replaced when it comes to handling the seriousness of pollution. To be more specific, there are many pollutions requiring a massive amount of financial resources such as the ocean and jungles, which individuals are not able to solve with. Thus, governments should use legislative power and allocate national funds to alleviate this problem to gain the most effective results. Consequently, people can have a sense of assurance and equality in tackling these environmental issues.
In conclusion, I hold the belief that individuals and companies should be responsible for cleaning up the pollution due to the fairness in society. Additionally, it should also be the duty of governmental forces as they provide available financial resources and legislative power.
