A number of people argue that contests in sports have beneficial influence on the schooling of younger generation, while others believe the downsides often predominate. In this essay, I will compare the two arguing sides, and I will present my own opinion.
In general, sports have numerous advantages for both old and young people. To mention one vital benefit we have in sports is the peaceful interactions and brotherhood among the competitors and audience. In this regard, many argue that sports have positive effects on the education of teenagers. For instance, they presume that sports can broaden the mental horizon of students. They assume that younger people can create friendships or relationships that often last a lifetime. It is common in sports to meet people from different backgrounds. Therefore, contestants make friends from other countries, which can strengthen their knowledge.
On the other side of the argument are those people who strongly believe that the setbacks of sports outnumber its positivity. To illustrate, this side believes that teenagers can sometimes leave their education if they participate in many sports events. They say that children become unhappy in classrooms, reminiscing the sports activities they did the other day. In addition to that, they can dislike education if they are permitted to spend more time playing and participating in sports, and this is the primary reason why many individuals oppose sports. In my opinion, I believe the idea that sports can strengthen and create brilliant and non-violent children that can be intelligent leaders in the future.
In conclusion, although some people totally disagree the idea that sports can have instrumental implications on education of teenagers, there a plethora of people who consider sports as a tool that deviates younger generations from more important goals in life.
