There are contrasting opinions about dangerous sports. Some people think that these kinds of sports should be banned, while others believe that people should have the freedom to choose what sports they want to play. From my perspective, people should be free because of their human rights.
Those who argue that dangerous sports should be banned believe this because they are responsible for people’s deaths/ they can cause people’s deaths/ they lead to fatalities . For example, skydiving allows players to jump from an aircraft using parachutes to glide through the air and land safely on the ground. Nevertheless, this sport guarantees safety through advanced equipments, but it still has inherent risks. Furthermore, climatic conditions, particularly strong winds, can cause athletes to lose control, resulting in falls from great heights. Moreover, in some cases, players become distracted by the beautiful views of the sky and ground and forget to properly manage their equipment during the free fall. Consequently, they may fall and tragically lost their lives. This circumstance often results in a high mortality rate in skydiving sports.
On the other hand, others think that players have the right to participate in their favorite sports, even though these types of activities are unsafe. One reason is that they want to explore challenging activities to step out of their comfort zone. In addition, they want to overcome difficult situations, which serves as a form of therapy to reduce depression. For instance, during skydiving, athletes who face difficult situations in the air must use strong problem-solving skills to control their parachutes and maintain balance until they land safely. This experience makes them proud of their ability to overcome challenges and save their lives. Therefore, if life experiences lack challenging activities and remain within the comfort zone, people may become bored and afraid to try new things because they worry about making mistakes or taking risks.
In conclusion, unsafe sports are a serious problem that can contribute to loss of life. However, I strongly believe that people should have the freedom to play these sports, as they provide opportunities for athletes to gain valuable and exciting experiences through risky but rewarding activities.
