Nowadays, the debate about the regulation of danderous sports has become increasingly relevant. Some people believe these high-risk activities should not be allowed while others advocate for free choice. This essay will take a look at both sides before drawing a reasonable conclusion.
A wide variety of different kinds of sports exist these days, so I tend toward the viewpoint that people are free to choose any of them, whether it is risky or not. Dangerous sport is a valuable tool in the hands of skilled professionals and people who are really keen on it and accept all associated risks.
On the one hand, banning these sports for people can lead to some issues. For instance, motorcycle sport or rock climbing although considered unsafe, however, they can develop many crucial skills such as endurance, resilience and courage due to strict daily training and physical preparation required for these activities. That is why banning can lead to a lack of these essential qualities in people and consequently, a loss of motivation and discipline.
On the other hand, some people are not really concerned about the nature of dangerous sports and do not pay attention to safety precautions and subsequently get injured or even die. Opponents of this banning idea usually blame risky sports instead of people’s behavior including their violation of technique in the particular sport. Thereby, more people become convinced that high-risk activities must be restricted. However people have to follow the specific rules and do not break safety regulations. Hence, to my mind, people have a right to choose but with great responsibility and caution to minimize possible risks.
In conclusion, there is no doubt that some kinds of sports can harm people’s health and general well-being however preparation and professional approach invariably decrease dangers and the necessity of banning. Acknowledging both the benefits of personal growth and the need for caution, individuals should retain the freedom to choose responsibily.
