Newspaper and Television media play a crucial role in individual’s lives as it provide all the ongoing news globally. However, some people argued that the detailed delinquency details in newspaper and TV could affect negatively to the society, so such data should be restricted in media. I partially agree with this statement, explain more in further paragraphs with suitable examples.

On the one hand, newspaper and television could affect person’s mental health. To be more precise, because of detailed information of the crimes in the newspaper and TV it could leads to psychological stress and fear among people. In addition, due to description people can copycat that behavior of offenders. Individual can try to attempt same crime by watching or reading about it. For example, if there was news about murder crime that someone has murdered to his family member because of property deeds, by this detailed information about that crime, someone can copycat that offence and try to do it if they have same situations. As a result, due to detailed description of the crimes in newspaper and TV can affect negatively to the society and can restricted in media.

On the other hand, newspaper and TV helps people to know more about the crime and ongoing trends worldwide. To elaborate more, newspaper and television allows people for accountability and the information gives more details to more about ongoing crimes. For instance, if there is some serious crime so it allows people to know about it and people can ask for a justice and accountability. Consequently, newspaper and television description can help people to know about the crime and accountability.

In conclusion, I partially agree that although the detailed information about the crimes can negatively affect people psychological stress, fear and copycat behavior. However, it also helps people for know about it and accountability.
