Nowadays, some individuals argue that consuming meat is unhealthy. However, I suppose that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks in this regard.
To begin with, consuming meat is essential to maintain our body healthy and active as they are rich in protein and other nutrients. Considering all types of meat, especially white and red meat is what many individuals prefer to include in their meal plans for a well-balanced diet. For instance, chicken breast is one of the most recognized sources of white meat, primarily due to high protein content. Protein is significant for our body as it plays a crucial role in continuously repairing our muscles, enhancing our metabolism and most importantly, it provides the feeling of fullness. For these reasons, having animal protein has a variety of positive sides where it can presumably diminish the probability of obesity and other health risks like cancer.
On the other hand, I firmly believe that having processed meat can be harmful as they consist of different chemical preservatives that were used to enhance the taste. For example, sausages are one of the processed meat that includes artificial flavors and despite being called a meat, most of the sausage products are known to have less than 100 percent of actual meat inside. In other words, the improved taste of pre-cooked meats will be preferred and high consumption of these can lead to many potential health issues such as diabetes and obesity.
In conclusion, all things considered, eating meat has greater benefits than drawbacks due to the fact that they are highly nutritious, especially in protein and what it comes down to is that having meat should be preferred in order to maintain healthy habits and improve their lifestyle in general. Yet, processed meat consumption can lead to possible health hazards.
