Band 5+: Some people think that exams are a good way of assessing a student’s level. Other people believe that they put unnecessary pressure on young learners and tell us very little about their actual ability. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Some people consider that examination is the best type of evaluation of knowledge, but other people think that this way puts pressure and makes pupils feel stressful even it does not show much about their abilities.

Currently, exams is a good method to check the knowledge which is given to students in the school education system. By means of different tests teachers can verify and measure information which students obtain during a certain period of studying. Learner wish nice marks for good portfolio so thats why mentees can cheat for that reason only testing program can honestly judge cognizances. In addition this, quizzes help examiners assess students’ preparation in a short period of time more over prepare students to real stressful situations that pupils may confront when people should make quick solutions.

However, this way has a big disadvantage because people peircive and react anxious situations diferently so that’s why, for some people exams only is a good experience to go through difficulties whereas for others examination is huge tension which student feel until the grade is known. As for a lot of people marks play a big role because these people expect a good diploma with good mark for admission to university. Pressure and stress provided by the atmosfere of exam can affect on emotional health and can lead to serious problems whereing like depression or panic attack. Among other things frequent exams estimate only memorization of information but not application of knowledge in practice which results does not develop logic and critical thinking.

In my opinion tests can be a useful method to check knowledge but, teachers build on the impact of exams on the students mental health and find alternative ropes of revising knowledge for example different projects or oral tasks.

To sum up, also exams a right knowledge control system, but school education system should hant for new mode of checking acquirement to reduce the negative influence on the psyche of children.
