There is no doubt that several factors influence how children grow and develop. Some people believe that family has the strongest impact, while others think that friends and media are more important. This essay will discuss both views and explain why I believe family has the most significant influence.
Firstly, family is very important for children’s development. Parents are the first people who teach children how to behave, what values to follow, and how to face life. For example, parents choose where their children study, what activities they join, and even what kind of people they meet. They also provide emotional support and teach their children how to deal with problems. Moreover, parents show their children how to behave through their own actions, which helps children learn right from wrong. Because of this, the family plays a big role in shaping children’s personalities.
On the other hand, friends and media also affect children’s development. Nowadays, many children spend a lot of time on social media, watching TV, or using electronic devices, which influences their ideas and behavior. Friends also play an important role, especially during teenage years, when children are more likely to follow their friends’ opinions and actions. However, if children receive strong support and good values from their families, they are more likely to deal with peer pressure and make good decisions.
In conclusion, although media and friends can influence children’s development, I believe that family is the most important factor. A good family foundation helps children grow into responsible and confident people.
