One school of thought holds that less money should be wasted on helping abroad nations as their countries still have numerous disadvantaged people suffering from unemployment or starvation. While acknowledging the reasons behind this thinking, I would contend that financial aid for other nations is still crucial.
On the one hand, it is understandable why some people think that international funding is no longer advantageous for their country. The key rationale is that this money should be utilized to support less fortunate local people. Hence overpopulation occurs in most regions, especially in big cities, people are more inclined to face unemployment, a lack of amenities or it might require preservation more regularly. For example, in most nations, a shortage of accommodations is being witnessed causing a lower economic growth acceleration. As a consequence, the money used for international uses should be spent on local investment to develop facilities and create labor which potentially alleviates financial burden for people.
On the other hand, I am convinced that international funding still plays an irreplaceable role. The first reason is that such aid may help bridge the gap between nations as strong bonds between countries are requirements for the globalization process. As a consequence, such money can enable people to acquire a plethora of information and culture. Through this knowledge, people may be armed with up-to-date information worldwide which is beneficial for their future path. In addition, since we all belong to a human race, it is reasonable to empathize with others who are in difficult situations regardless of their nationality. For example, in COVID-19 as China is suffering from a wide spread of such pandemic supplies like oxygen, masks, and vaccines from other countries have been a major support.
In conclusion, while there are justifications for the belief that abroad funding should be used for other purposes, I would contend that these money still remains irreplaceable.
