Nowadays, illegal Internet downloads are very popular among Internet users. Some people believe that it has a negative effect on the artist but others do not agree with it and keep on having unlicensed downloads from the Internet. In my opinion illegal Internet downloads have a negative impact on the music industry.

It seems to me that illegal Internet downloads should be stopped because it has a negative influence on the music industry and the artists. A good illustration of this is that artists work hard on their music and prepare for the announcement of a new single or an album very attentively and with a huge excitement. It takes a lot of time and effort to write a good song and music and then present it to the public. Moreover, the vast majority of artists sell their music on different Internet music platforms to earn some money to continue releasing new songs in the future.

On the other hand, some people are convinced that illegal Internet downloads have no influence on the artists and music business. A popular belief is that singers may earn money performing on the stage or on different TV shows. It is a common opinion that there is no need to pay for music or movies when you can get it for free by having an illegal download from prohibited websites.

Taking everything into consideration, I would say that illegitimate Internet downloads for sure have negative consequences on the artists and music industry all in all.
