Technological advancements, namely the Internet, are mainly contributing the root for proponents of growing interdependence among people. It benefits people for self-development in many aspects. One significant advantage is that one can access a vast array of information. Some of its resources are also related to specialized fields, including those on psychology and information technology. Hence, individuals could acquire their learning on their own regardless of traditional class dependence. In line with this phenomenon, the Internet can also partly assist individuals’ mental wellness. For instance, people can reduce their stress or relax by using various forms of appealing entertainment on the net, such as music, game plays, and short sitcoms.
However, I believe that people are becoming more mutually-dependent. With the strong growth of usage of technological advancements, interdependence is vital. Firstly, people depend on the net to serve their career. Recent reports show that a wide range of organizations use the Internet for crucial activities, such as recruiting and communication with employees. E-commerce is also another factor. Two crucial industries, clothing and food, are statistically witnessing a great growth in the usage of online platforms for retailing in years. People who exclude themselves from the net would confront extremely hard obstacles to be involved in business and meet their needs.
In conclusion, it is undeniable that cyber technology has benefited individuals to be more independent. I would agree that there are more noteworthy factors regarding career and basic needs that strongly result in interdependence.
