It is argued that making recycling process mandatory on governmental level will lead to an increase in the amount of recycled products. This essay completely agrees with the idea of introducing new rules related to recycling activities will be beneficial in terms of environment and economic condition.
First of all, obligations about recycling will reduce the amount of pollution in the countries. If there are not any rules, few people will think about an ethical issue for reintroducing unused products. This will lead to higher level of pollution which causes damage for human race in the future. However, making this process compulsory will expose people to follow it. For example, the percentage of people who put their product into bin for recycling increased in COP29 and reduced the amount of pollution in Azerbaijan.
Secondly, announcing new rules will help governments to get help from people indirectly in terms of cost involved. People will not feel responsible if there are not any rules. In this case, governments need to take action against recycling products by themselves which cause higher costs for the countries. Introducing new regulations will result higher involvement by residents and it will reduce the amount of money spent on recycling process. For instance, some countries impose taxes on companies which throw unused products instead of reintroducing them. This incentives companies to recycle them and reduce the level of governments involvement on this process. Lower attendance by governments increase their budget that can be used for other purposes.
In conclusion, making laws about recycling obligatory will make the world clean and safe for our generations and also reduce governments’ expenditures.
