Localities’ lives nowadays can easily be affected by both environmental and human factors. In particular, international tourists have recently been assumed as a negative factor on the lives of local people. Personally, I disagree with that school of thought due to tourists’ providing benefits such as economic profits and the upgradation of the areas’ infrastructures.
The first benefit of international tourism is regarding the economic profits. The financial benefits for local residents can apparently be generated from the employment opportunities, rising in stores, convenient shops income, attracting more investments from national tourism companies or corporations. In particular, the quick, apparent benefits can easily be recognized by hosting some international sports activities, which perhaps attract many visitors. For example, Beijing, the host city of the Winter Olympic Beijing 2018 , has welcomed a great amount of worldwide visitors in 2018. These international tourists visited China for travel and contributed to the overall economy of the city.
Secondly, the upgradation of the areas’ infrastructures is a crucial benefit for localities in terms of international tourism. The more travelers visit an area, the more frequently the infrastructures are upgraded. Additionally, investments in water treatment plants, waste management facilities, and power grids can significantly enhance the overall quality of life for the entire community.
