It has been observed that in recent times students have a wide terage of subjects to study. Although some people believe that it is a waste of time to study nature for school students, I firmly disagree with the given statement to a large extent. My inclination is elaborated in the ensuing paragraphs with relevent examples.
The foremost argument to justify my stand is that studying nature improves environmental awareness to the students. They also learn about pollution, climate change and sustainability of the environment. For instance, a young student grows as a responsible citizen by studying nature. It also allows them to gain sufficiently knowledge about biodiversity and eco-system which are necessary to maintain a healthy life. Besides this, it is also true that learn about nature develops curiosity and observation skills that are essential for scientific thinking.
Furthermore, the other reason to prove my point is that it also helps to improve mental and emotional health of the learners. Besides this, it also helps to refresh their mind and reduce some stress which they get from busy life and provides some rebration as well. In addition the fact that subjects like nature or environment also allows to build moral and ethical values. Students become more concerned about environment and they always try to keep clean their surroundings as much as possible. Moreover, they always try to figure out the better things related to the environment and find out the best to solution for it. They are helping to spread up the public awareness through public campaign and media.
On the contrarity, the some people counter claim the mentioned support. The foremost argument they do is this. Academic subjects are more useful like math and technology compare to the nature. To add with this, they also be argue that school has a limited time and they are not capable to cover that subject in that given time. Furthermore, studying nature with practicality can be costly, especially for the urban areas.
To conclude the discussion, it can be said that despite the fact of limited time and extra expenses my reasons that environmental awareness and improving mental and emotional health are logically acceptable.
