Some people believe that job satisfaction should be valued more than job stability. While it is believed that it is important for people to enjoy their work, the merits of job sustainability cannot also be denied.
On the one hand, it is claimed that stability is an essential aspect of jobs, bearing favourable features. The most obvious benefit is happiness. Employees can enjoy a sense of delight and pleasure doing what they love everyday. When people are interested in their work, they can be more productive and motivated. This allows workers to not only pursue their passions, but also ensure an optimal and healthy lifestyle. This is true in many jobs and industries like – for – instance, art, music, and many more. Moreover, a fulfilling job enables individuals to gain sufficient experience, learn skills, discover their potential and develop their fortitude and strength.
On the other hand, there are also several positive aspects of job stability that should not be refuted. Firstly, a stable job provides a source of income that people allocate for different purposes like personal life and family. These professions also come with long-term benefits for employees, including – for example – insurances, retirement plans, and many more. With a sustainable job, individuals can focus on personal and family life without bearing the risk of unemployment and failing to meet basic demands. Secondly, satisfaction can still be achieved in the long term. Even if a job is initially not exciting, people can still benefit from the promotion system that allows spot-on employees to gain more salary and aim for higher positions. Additionally, thanks to this system, productivity and motivation can be greatly boosted, driving workers further towards high performance.
In conclusion, although it is purported that job satisfaction has positive features, I find myself in accord with the idea that job sustainability also bears many great advantages, and I believe that both should be combined if pos
sible.
