Band 6+: Some people think that learning only takes place in a particular place and at a particular period of time. Others argue that learning should be a continuous process rather than a stage in a person's life. That is the reason why many people believe that it is never too late to learn. Do you agree or disagree with the statement " It is never too late to learn"?

Learning is one of the most important activities of human beings. While some people claim that the act of learning only happens in certain place and at a certain time, others think that learning is a non-stop process. I strongly support the latter opinion based on the following reasons.

To begin with, if someone keep learning continuously, they will stay up to date with the current trends and requirements of their industry that they are working. This would provide them with a competitive advantage over other peers and be able to adapt with constant changes in almost every field, especially in nowadays circumstances which is the era of industry 4.0. Take the jobs of teachers as an example, they must do self-learning such as looking for more funny games; having more engaging activities and improving their knowledge in the field of teaching methodology as a professional.

Secondly, as a professional, effective and continuous learning play a key role in anyone’s career advancements. Because of being an active learner, one could acquire new skills and more insight understandings in their fields which are a must in this ever-changing world. As a consequence, there would be more opportunities and possibilities in term of achieving a job promotion or having a higher income. That leads to a better job satisfaction and fulfillment which is increase one’s overall well-being.

That’s why there should not be a limit regarding the place and the time if someone have a desire to learn something. The process of lifelong learning could open countless opportunities and an abundant knowledge for anyone in personal and professional life.
