It is pointed out that, many people believe that, new homes should built in the same way as the older buildings in rural areas, while others think that the local government should allow individuals to build their houses in their own way. In my opinion, it should be personal preference of people to build whichever style they want for their house, because they will be the one going to live in that house for the rest of their life. In this essay I will discuss both viewpoints before presenting my own opinion.
On the one hand, many people believe that the house of everyone should looked in a same way in a particular area. One of the reasons is that,there will be no class and status between individuals living in same area. Another reason is that, some people value old items and buildings more than their life. For example, one person in north America is living in the same house of his great grandfather, which is about 200 years old. Despite the fact that, new materials and artifacts are significantly more beneficial than the older ones.
On other hand, supporters of own choice, including me, believe that government and policy makers should allow the citizens to have their houses of own choice, because it takes alot of effort to earn money to buy own house. Moreover, everyone have dream to build a house and they work hard to buy one house in their entire life. For example, in Asia most of the people can be able to buy a house in their late 40s, along with that they struggle and work so hard just to fullfil that one dream.Therefore, it should be their own choice to style their house in a way they want.
In conclusion, although it is important to value the old buildings and houses, but with the advancement of technology and materials we should follow the new styles, along with personal choices.
