Sports have been always considered as one of the moct popular and crucial part of society, due to the great impact it has on people’s health. However, some people claim, that musclular power plays a bigger role in achieving success in sport than person’s emotional state. In my personal opinion, both points of view may be true, nevertheless I believe, that only the combination of both can lead to successful results.
Obviously, each sportsman pays a great attention to their phisical condition, working out a lot on a daily basis. Athletes spend hours each day training at gyms or outdoors to enhance their endurance. Moreover, majority of Olimpic kinds of sport require sportsmens’ phisical stamina, for example in running, swimming, wrestling and others. Any sportsman or a sportswoman, who have ever won sport competition, will definitely say how a person’s phisical performance is crucial in becoming number one. A world-famous boxer Muhammad Ali or a star of armwrestling Arnold Schwarzenegger had obviously trained a lot before they achieved such great results in their sport careers.
However, the sigificance of individual’s mental health should not be overlooked. Talking about sport accomplishments, some people do not take person’s mental state into account, believing. that sport achievments are mostly possible by everyday exercising. Nevertheless, such personal traits as self-confidence, determince, patience have always played a huge role in successful results. A sportsman should always keep in mind, that it is quite impossible to become a champion on the first try and they should continue to fight even after having been defeated.
Overall, I think, that this debate is a two sides of the same coin, so muscle strength is crucial as mental state. Despite person’s great physical condition, it might be difficult to realize, that you are not ready to lose a plethora of times before reaching a peak in sport.
