Band 4+: Some people think that schoolchildren need to learn practical skills such as car maintenance or bank account management along with their academic subjects at school. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

With the rising of modern technological era, when electrical cars like Tesla and satellite network as Starlink have become common a number of population believe that young generation should to learn some practical knowledge such as car repair or managing a bank account along with the academic disciplines at school. I am partially agreeing with this statement, and in this topic I will try to explain my position with the providing illustrative examples.

Indeed, for the simplifying a future adult life for school children in schools should be organized additional subjects like bank business activity or basics of technics maintenance. We cannot imagine present world without the latest scientific achievements and technics development, according to this if children will know about this features it will be helpful for them in their life. There are a lot of examples when parents opened special credit cards for their heirs for learning the financial literacy. Another ones teaches their children, especially sons, how to connect with cars and mechanisms, repairing and renovation methods.

On the other hand, creation new courses at schools in parallel with the academic subjects will not be effective and won’t be as successful. The main reason of this is a time limitation, when children busy studying with the main disciplines and including addition subject in the study program will lead to decreasing the level of student learning. As a striking example may be an education system in my Motherland – Uzbekistan, where pupils are forced spending approximately eight hours at school with the academic disciplines as math, physics and chemistry and forcing children to spend even more time studying will lead to emotional and physical diseases.

In conclusion, I would like to emphases my own point of view, according to which the organization additional lessons by bank activity or car maintenance should be on a voluntary basis. If necessary, including this disciplines in main education programs in schools should be organized very neat and smooth.
