Some individuals believe that schools are not important because academic-related resources can be acquired by online. I totally disagree because I am of the opinion that schools still play a crucial role in assisting students to accomplish their academic goals through teacher’s guidance. Some distractions during learning online are also another reason for this issue.
One factor contributing to this is that pupils need teacher’s guidance while learning. Although many resources can be obtained on the internet, without teachers, it may be more challenging for students to understand the material. For example, mathematics, physics, and chemistry subjects, highly depend on teacher’s explanation and are not well developed when it comes to resources on the internet. Teachers can explain the short cut ways of solving those subjects, making it much easier for students to understand.
Another factor is that the distractions students may come across during their online learning. Learning online can be disturbed by bombarded notifications, since they use their electronic devices to find materials. For instance, students learning through YouTube, or other platforms may easily get distracted by the messages or other notifications popped up on their screen. Consequently, academic individuals can constantly check their phones during learning process, making them less concentration. In addition, learning at school not only allow children to learn about academic subjects, but also equip them with valuable skills, such as communication skills. As a result, they become smarter individually and academically.
In conclusion, I strongly disagree that schools are no longer important because schools provide students with a better understanding because teacher can guide them during studies and some distractions students may come across.
