The argument that students’ textbooks should be replaced by electronic books is supported by some people and refuted by the same moment. In my opinion, tablets are certainly a convenient learning tool where pupils can find any information in a second, but there are still many benefits to continue using printed books because they do not distract students from the educational process and last but not least, they do not affect on the health of the students.
On the one hand, people who thinks that digital textbooks better than print books they believe that these devices contain many technological functions. The reason for this is that tablets often give users a wide range of text formatting instruments as well as searching function and using multimedia objects. As a result, this interactive approach allows increasing students’ creativity and motivation to the learning process. However, tablets can also distract students with video games.
On the other hand, opponents who thinks that using print textbooks a thousand times better. They argue that assume that tablets are frequently associated with a range of illnesses and I agree with them. This can cause decreased vision and Intraocular pressure, which can lead to severe headaches that can develop into migraines and also provoke different musculoskeletal disorders, such as shoulder pain. For this reason, the long-time use of tablets for educational is made not always possible. For instance, scientists have found that the recommended time for working with the tablet for children should not be more than two hours in a day. Otherwise without being time-restricted using digital devices will affect students health.
In conclusion, i wnta to say that although there are many opinions about this, I am absolutely convinced that completely switch to electronic devices from print books does not seem possible yet. We cannot close our eyes to the fact that tablets have a bad effect on health, but at the same time we cannot exclude the huge opportunities for gaining knowledge with them.
