Some people believe that modern schools, especially governmental educational institutions, mainly prepare students for jobs within governmental sectors and do not provide enough opportunities for students to develop their individuality. I agree with this view. I think schools do not offer enough choices and rarely provide information about becoming self-employed. In this essay, I will examine the disadvantages of the current school system.
Firstly, schools do not provide students with a wide range of professional options. Public school students are often prepared for careers that the government prioritizes. For example, most graduates are encouraged to choose traditional professions such as doctors, architects, builders, or teachers. While these jobs are important, students with creative or entrepreneurial ambitions are often left without support or guidance.
Secondly, schools lack subjects that teach students how to become self-employed. Most students have no idea how to start a business or manage one. They graduate without knowing how to create their own company, develop a business plan, or market their products or services.
In addition, in many Central Asian countries, public schools do not provide enough modern information technology subjects. There are basic computer classes that teach how to use a computer, but there are no subjects that prepare students for modern IT careers such as game development, artificial intelligence, or data science.
In conclusion, many public schools today lack modern subjects and do not provide students with enough opportunities to explore self-employment. To help students succeed in today’s world, schools must offer more diverse career paths and teach practical, modern skills.
