It is argued that social media companies must be legally responsible for all the effects on underage’s mental tealth beacuse of their platforms, whereas others believe parents and schools should take this responsibility. From my perspective, perents and schools are more responsible and can have much more impact on teenagers and social media its a such huge platform also controling it impractical.
Some people say, the responsability towards the social media impact on minors must be legallized by the owner of the platform. Social media managment sometimes creates some content which has a huge influence on people under eighteen. This phenomenon leads to cetestrophic consequnces such as pormoting violence, addiction, disrespecting other and harmful behaviors. Companies which leads to these kind of actions must anwser to people and take action when some terrible accidents happen. For example, in several years ago a famous brand used a model who was addicted to some damagable substance which led to advertising that substance for becoming skinny, also on that period this drug became very puporal among teenage girls and people named that era heroine-chic due to its large impact on girls’ body and on their behavior.
On the other hand, others argue that parents and schools must be in charge of controling underages and reducing the social media’s impact on them. Parents and schools can be more bearable because not only they spend more time with teenagers but also they can recognize whats kind of content and platforms have the most negative consequnces on their mindset. Parents and teachers can raise the minors awareness towards how to use social media in a healthy way to face the least amount of harm. For instance, they can make the students mindset ready about how to use technology properly, furthermore recommanding the channels and the people’s who they can follow to learn something from them is a convenient decision.
In conclusion, social media’s factory are not responsible for the impact they have on teenagers beacuse it is a huge platform and it is unstoppable, but parents and schools can give minors advice about their usage of social media.
